We are open every day apart from Christmas day and Boxing day (additional closure days may be added).
You can visit us during:
summer from 10am to 6pm – British Summer Time (BST)
winter from 10am to 4pm – Greenwich Mean Time (GMT)
The zoo, park toilets and walled garden will be closed on 25 and 26 December.
Last entry is one hour before closing and the Walled Garden is locked at closing.
There is a food truck at the zoo entrance which is open at weekends and during the school holidays where you can purchase hot and cold drinks and snacks.
Tickets can be purchased online in advance, or on the door. The resident discount is only available online.
*One carer can enter for free when accompanying a disabled person with an official letter of confirmation such as DLA or PIP or diagnosis, a Compass Card, hidden disabilities sunflower, Carers Support Card or similar recognised schemes.
Re-entry to the zoo, on the same day, is granted with a valid re-entry hand stamp.
Getting here
You can find the zoo in Tilgate Park near to the Walled Garden. Tilgate Park can be accessed from either Tilgate Drive or K2 Crawley leisure centre which is located on the A23 Brighton Road. Our address is Tilgate Drive, Crawley, West Sussex RH10 5PQ.

There are charges for parking at Tilgate, whether you are visiting the park or the zoo. You can pay via the parking machines or use the MiPermit app.

Please note we have limited spaces for disabled drivers, minibuses and coaches.
Two disabled spaces are located next to the zoo and Walled Garden. To locate these spaces please drive past the main car park (with it on your right-hand side), bear left and follow the private road around. At the end of the road you’ll see a staff car park and the two disabled bays.
By bus
Metrobus Service 2 runs to the park on weekends and Bank Holidays. Monday to Friday it stops at K2 Crawley and it is a 10 to 15 minute walk into Tilgate Park.
